Our next player profiles up are our 2023 Captains and 2024 women 47s players Karen Cook and Lynette Bolt!
First up is our deadly women's 47s coach and player Karen Cook! Karen is a proud Dhungutti/Bundjalung & Quandamooka woman,and will also be representing AIO with her daughter Kalinda; Senior Mixed, & Granddaughter Tanequa; Womens 21s! 👑 👩🏽👩🏽👩🏽Karen will also be repping @nepeandistrictoztag and @penrithoztagKaren started playing oztag in 2015 and within 2 years was playing at International tournaments!
Talk about talent! Karen represented AIO at the 2017 New Zealand Oceania Cup in Senior women’s, at the 2018 Coffs Harbour World Cup; Senior Women’s, 2022 AIO Battle of the Nations; Women’s 30s and the 2023 Ireland World Cup; Women’s 30s. 🙌🏽👣
Karen applied for AIO for her own personal challenge and get the message out to mob you can do anything if you put your mind to it!
Karen is also looking forward to representing with the women’s 47s, and representing her mob with her family! 👣✨
We are so lucky to have 2 such amazing women playing with AIO. Not only are they deadly players but even more amazing off the field, which was a reflecting on their captaincy selections last year! Alongside their women’s 47s they will be making AIO history as our first women’s 47s side! ✨.
