Kalinda is a proud Bundjalung, Dhungutti and Worimi, who will be apart of a 3 generation family representing AIO. Her mum, Karen will be in the womens 47s, Kalinda in senior mixed, and her daughter Tanequa who will be in women’s 21s!! 🧍🏽♀️🧍🏽♀️🧍🏽♀️
Kalinda has been playing with AIO for nearly 10 years!! 🤯 with her first tournament being in 2015!!! She has also competed in with AIO in the 2016 Oceania Cup, 2017 Big 4, and 2018 World Cup!Kalinda will be following in the footsteps of her mum who was one of our Captain last year! We also got the chance to speak to her deadly daughter Tanequa:“I’ve been watching my mum and my Nan play oztag my whole life I couldn’t wait until I was old enough to play with them both. We play in the Nepean and Penrith comps in family teams they always bring everyone together and make oztag fun. I have learnt so much from her even if she stresses me out and pushes me to try my best on the field. Always has a can-do attitude motivating all the people around her.”🩷🥺Kalinda loves playing with the mob and is looking forward to representing her mob and people! Kalinda believes oztag brings people together and once you take the field to represent your mob you become family! 🥺🫶🏿
Kalinda is excited to see all of our age group compete, but all celebrate all the cultures we have in Australia! Kalinda say “Oztag tag is more than the game it is a community of people that love to complete and have fun whilst playing.”🤍Both these women are such strong, powerful and deadly women, and leaders in AIO and their community! Their commitment to culture, teammates and AIO doesn’t go unnoticed, and we are so honored to be able to showcase their leadership and talent!
How Deadly Aunty. Congratulations
